Maggie Santandreu is an attorney at Kenny, O’Keefe & Usselgio. Maggie represents clients who have been injured, including truck and automobile crashes, sex abuse claims, dog attacks, and defective product claims in Connecticut and Massachusetts state and federal courts. She is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Hartford County Bar Association.

Prior to joining the firm, Maggie worked as a Legal Research Clerk for the State of Connecticut’s Judicial Branch. During her time in law school, Maggie worked for the Attorney General’s office and the United States Attorney’s office in Syracuse, NY. In addition, she volunteered at the Veteran’s Legal Clinic providing local veterans with legal assistance. Maggie graduated from Syracuse University College of Law with her Juris Doctor degree and a Certificate in National Security Law.

Maggie has a passion for volunteering in her community and globally. She has completed volunteer trips to Kingston, Jamaica and Kenya, Africa. She volunteered at an orphanage, teaching English to children while living in Kenya and helped rebuild a community in Jamaica. Those experiences enable Maggie to bring a unique perspective to the cases she handles and help clients through difficult times.

John McKenna is Of Counsel at Kenny, O’Keefe & Usseglio, P.C. and has been with the firm since July 2013.  Prior to that time, Mr. McKenna maintained a private law practice in West Hartford, Connecticut, for over thirty-two years.  He focuses his practice on criminal law, insurance defense, personal injury and other administrative and litigation matters.

Mr. McKenna served his country as an Aviator in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1967.  He was an aircraft commander of a C130 aircraft, and is a Vietnam veteran. As a result of Mr. McKenna’s service as a U.S. Naval Aviator, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal (2 Bronze Stars), the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the U.S. Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.

Mr. McKenna served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Connecticut from 1973 until 1982. During that time, Mr. McKenna was in the State Anti-Trust Unit, and from 1977 to 1982, served as General Counsel to the University of Connecticut. From 1977 until 2012, Mr. McKenna was an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut MBA program, lecturing in anti-trust law and constitutional law.

Mr. McKenna is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He is a Life Fellow of the James W. Cooper Connecticut Bar Foundation and he is a past Vice-Chairman of the Greater Hartford Transit District representing the Town of Manchester, Connecticut.

Tim O’Keefe is a founding principal of Kenny, O’Keefe & Usseglio, P.C.  He has been Board Certified as a Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 2008.  Tim handles cases involving serious catastrophic injuries and wrongful death.  Those cases include serious truck and automobile crashes, child sex abuse claims, crime victim claims, nursing home neglect, Dram Shop claims, dog attacks, medical negligence and defective product claims.

Tim has served on the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) since 2003.  He has served on the CTLA Executive Committee since 2008.  He is the past Parliamentarian of CTLA and currently serves as the Secretary of the CTLA Board of Governors.  Tim is also a Connecticut State Delegate to the American Association for Justice (AAJ).  Tim is a supporter of the AAJ PAC and currently serves on the AAJ PAC Committee.  Tim was the recipient of a 2017 Wiedemann & Wysocki Award from AAJ for his efforts in raising funds for AAJ PAC.

Tim is also a proud member of the National Crime Victim Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar Association.

Frank Usseglio is a founding principal of Kenny, O’Keefe & Usseglio, P. C.  He is an AV rated personal injury lawyer.  Originally from the greater Boston area, Frank represents clients who have been the victims of defective products, defective premises, construction and automobile accidents in both Connecticut and Massachusetts state and federal courts.  He has been featured in the Product Liability Profiles of the National Law Journal, and he has over 25 years of experience dealing with claims involving professional malpractice claims, including representing those harmed by legal malpractice.

Attorney Usseglio has been a trial lawyer and in the courtroom for more than 30 years.  He has taught legal principles and trial tactics from coast to coast as an adjunct instructor for the Naval Justice School, and is a former instructor at the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies, where he provided international law training in support of the U.S. State Department’s mission.

Prior to entering private practice, Attorney Usseglio served in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corp, where he served as a military prosecutor.  His past government experience includes aircraft mishaps, admiralty claims and federal tort claims.  Attorney Usseglio retired as a Navy Captain after 24 years of Honorable Service to his country.  He volunteers his time for three local high schools as an ice hockey coach, he is actively involved in the sport of ice hockey throughout the State of Connecticut, and is a college football official.

Rick Kenny is a founding principal of Kenny, O’Keefe & Usseglio, P.C. He is AV rated and Board Certified as a Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Rick represents clients who have been harmed as a result of medical malpractice and sexual abuse. He was the lead attorney handling multiple claims against a local hospital as a result of the abuse of children by one of its physicians over a significant period of time. He has also spent extraordinary time to help victims of sexual abuse harmed by individuals working at schools, churches, bus companies, and other institutions.

Rick has been certified at the Advocate Level of the American Board of Trial Advocates and serves on the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and its medical malpractice committee. He lectures frequently on trial practice and has served as a private mediator for parties seeking to resolve civil disputes.
